molecola acqua

During their Doctorate, students must obtain 18 credits (CFU) of specialist courses, starting from cycle XXXIX, and attend courses on transferable skills for a total of 72 h.

Specialist courses:

PhD students of cycle XXXIX must do the following courses for a total of 12 CFU:

1) "Ecodesign: chemistry for a sustainable world” (2 CFU)

2) “Literature and library research in industrial chemistry” (4 CFU)

3) “Graphic Communication of Scientific Research to elevate your Papers” (2 CFU)

4) “Giovani e Impresa" (4 CFU)

They choose other courses (for a total of 6 CFU) from the “Catalogo di Ateneo” that lists all courses organized by the Doctorate courses of Università degli Studi di Milano.

The teaching board in Industrial Chemistry annually organizes courses in the following scientific areas:

  • Inorganic Chemistry
  • Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • Physical Chemistry
  • Industrial Chemistry

For the academic year 2023-2024, the following specialist courses will be offered in English and will be part of the Catalogo di Ateneo:

  • “Beyond conventional catalytic materials for reactions of environmental protection: air and water remediation” (Coordinator: Antonella Gervasini, 2CFU)
  • “Ecodesign: chemistry for a sustainable world” (Coordiantor:  Elisabetta Ranucci, 2CFU)

The course is mandatory for students of cycle XXXIX: to do during their first year

  • “Graphic Communication of Scientific Research to elevate your Papers" (Coordinator: Dominique Roberto, 2 CFU)

The course is mandatory for students of cycle XXXIX: to do during their first or second year

  • “Literature and library research in industrial chemistry" (Coordinator: Maurizio Benaglia, 4 CFU)

Module A: The student learns to read and comment in a critical manner articles in the field of industrial chemistry, in particular in organic (with Prof. Benaglia), inorganic (with Prof. Proserpio) and physical chemistry (with Prof. Pirola). 2 CFU

Module B: in order to favor their scientific growth, students have to follow 24 scientific seminars of which 12 from The Chemist’s Interactions (https://www.chimica.unimi.it/ecm/home/ricerca/seminari-scien+E44tifici).

It will be possible to enroll for this module the academic year 2025-2026 2 CFU
